蕭敬騰（老蕭）家中有７隻「毛小孩」，第一次見到流浪狗麻麻時，看見牠身上有許多皮膚病和傷口，脖子上有一圈橡皮筋，已跟肌膚融在一起，讓他心疼又難過，當下決定收養，「因為工作關係，我在外面對的都是最聰明的人，人類複雜多了，跟動物相處很簡單，牠們給我的，全是最單純、最原始、最簡單的情感，這是騙不了人的。」
